CAPTIVA OSPREYS - Andy & Lena
I'd been posting in "Forum Friends", here's a snap brought over, for the sake of starting this thread with something!

Some stills taken from the BBC News this morning regarding the chicks born on the new nest at Bolton Castle Estate, Yorkshire. Interview from Sacha from the Flight of the Osprey with some background information about the nest and her trip ahead.
Sacha was live from Glaslyn. Beautiful morning. She said there was an Osprey fishing behind her.
First breakfast at Alyth this morning delivered by dad, a flatfish. He had to wait 14 minutes on the nest before a juvenile arrived to take it.

The story of Una continues of course and is quite interesting..
Since the last single fish a couple of days ago, there haven't been any fish deliveries to the nest.. so that makes 1 fish on the nest in almost 7 days..
Still she is looking healthy and is very active.. sometimes calling, sometimes sitting quietly in or around the nest.
There are still intruders around, so that might be the reason there are no deliveries on the nest... and we see glimpses of one or both of the parents in the distance.. but she is either being fed somewhere else or is able to hunt for herself, either fish or frogs in the swamp.. Her crop sometimes seems filled, but she's always had a thick neck...

Well… This might have been the last shot of Una this year. She either left to the south, or is staying elsewhere with her parents. There were a lot of intruders on the nest yesterday, so it might not be a safe place anymore.. She was born June 4th and fledged only two weeks ago, so it might be way to early for a migration. But to keep the spirits up.. let’s just assume she is safe, underway or with a parent.. Sääksilive #3 is doing quite well.. flies around a happy bird..
On #1 fledging is imminent also… it must be the quietest nest in my list.. mum and kid can sit quietly next to each other for an hour or more… tossing around some sticks and even when food is brought, everything is kind of subdued… so different from like 1c2 today
look how cute they are together
