CAPTIVA OSPREYS - Andy & Lena
I'd been posting in "Forum Friends", here's a snap brought over, for the sake of starting this thread with something!
IMAGICAT
Yes, it really does and it totally takes my peace away. And it's not necessary , is it - rhetorical question. We used to be able to watch wild life programmes on TV .without seeing the wolves eat the haunch off a wild Elk as it tried to get away. Probably thanks to the BBC deciding to force reality down our throats.
Lots of bonking but still 2 eaglets surviving
Contrary to appearance, this was Bonkee at the top and Bonker at the bottom:
Kisatchie National Forest Bald Eagles
Louis & Anna (there's another nest at the same location (Kincaid Lake) belonging to Alex & Andria.
Found by accident - I was so surprised by the fast hatch, and then lost the E down a hole, it seemed but all was well in the morning:

Loved your descriptions Scylla, brought some humour to the usual intolerable behaviours, not surprised you shut them off, too depressing!

Quite so, GB - I'm surprised that it seems to be the internationally recognised term for the unfortunate practice
Boreal Ontario
No unusual visitors, here's yet another Common Redpoll vid, this time with sound enhanced a little:
.
LotL - Miserable wet weather and some cam outages but it's running OK at the mo.
LG Feeder - busy-busy-busy, no unusual visitors yet.
Ah, thank you Scylla. Good to see you online again
