CAPTIVA OSPREYS - Andy & Lena
I'd been posting in "Forum Friends", here's a snap brought over, for the sake of starting this thread with something!
IMAGICAT
How fantastic! Thankyou to ALL involved. Foulshaw Ness is my nearest 'public' nest. My hope now is that Fairbun Ings (still a fair drive away) could be a future osprey home, but maybe it is too near a large human conurbation to be viable or worse the waters don't have a fish supply- it is rather shallow! I have a good imagination!

Very interesting - all done by the book! I'm pondering, because I don't seem to have as many active hours in the "day" (whatever time of day or night that is) as I used to. This is a battle between me and myself.
Tweed Valley
It didn't start until late but then kept going until shutdown time - a couple of Osprey visits, and someone zoomed in the cam but then it didn't get zoomed out again so the final visitor couldn't be seen on the perch, just fly-in and -out.
I treated the sound so that the local little birds could be heard at times.
13 April
3 "pieces" received today.
The morning looked as tho thick drizzle or smoke was being blown about - there were 2 Ospreys vying for a short while:
Suddenly the weather cleared. This bird stayed on the perch for over 2 hours until 13:35, it turned its back early on and stayed that way, cannot get the legs clearly:
As soon as it left, the "smoke" returned:
That was it up to shutdown time, apart from some little birds on the nest in the early afternoon.

Below is a link to the Alyth Osprey nest after the new platform was built.
It is a You Tube clip of a BBC news report including an interview with Roy Dennis, only a couple of minutes long.

Scylla, in your Tweed Valley video, is that an egg in the nest cup?
I took this pic at 17:10 yesterday

Ok, thank you Richard.
