3.9.21 - LR2 sighted in Southern Spain
25.10.21 - LR2 still in Southern Spain
As the 2021 Osprey season at Loch of the Lowes enters its final stage, it is reassuring to know how very well LR1 and LR2 are faring in the build-up to their first migration. Laddie (LM12) and NC0 (who, it is thought, will soon start her long journey south) are continuing to provide for, and protect, these wonderful (and loud!), young juveniles. Last month, it was fantastic to see the confidence in both LR1 and LR2 when they took to the sky for the first time, as well as watching them practise their spectacular diving skills into the Loch - sights to behold! With only a short number of precious weeks that we have remaining viewing Laddie, NC0 and their family on the webcam, let us hope everything continues to go well.
16:17 LR1 alarm called and shot off the nest!
LR2 ducked as LR1 flew (unseen) up to the cam post
Within moments of that happening, Laddie came to the nest with a fish
LR2 'went for' Laddie
Laddie flew off with the fish before LR1 could get a chance to come down to the nest
LR2 shouted at LR1 before she landed back on the nest

Scene at 17:01 LR1 still fish calling on the perch. LR2 with his fish (as reported by Patily)
SWT have posted a video showing the 14:45 fish delivery from NC0 this afternoon
NC0 brings a massive salmon to the nest
19:26 LR2 is still tucking into it (though he has had some rest breaks!) - almost almost 4 hours 45 minutes after its delivery! LR1 is still waiting (and calling) for a fish
At 20:09, LR2 finally relinquished his fish - LR1 was quick to take the remainder of it!
LR2 cleaned his beak on a couple of occasions
LR2 looking very full as he should do after almost 5 and a half hours of eating! lol
He flew from the nest and headed to the birch
LR1 continued to eat but got disturbed
She left with her fish at 20:12ish
She circled the birch area before settling on the far left branch. It appeared that LR2 (middle) and NC0 (right) were resting
20:40 LR1 came back to the nest with her fish. I couldn't see/hear any reason for her to leave the birch
Continuing to eat
20:50
20:57 She has company again!
20:59
"Where did it go?"
21:13 LR2 joined her, flying to the nest from the birch
21:15 I don't think LR1 will want to give up her long-waited for fish
LR2 had been fish calling and picking up a few bits of dropped morsels of fish
He then left the nest and landed in the middle part of the birch. LR1 wasn't happy that she had another visitor!
LR1, still being bothered, left shortly after with the rest of her fish at 21:23ish, and landed back on the far left branch of the birch
Morning all, There was early activity when Laddie delivered a half-eaten fish just after 5:20. He had to wait for the juvies to make an appearance.
Both flew from their respective places at the birch (LR1 left branch; LR2 the middle part) with LR1 landing on the nest, LR2 up to the cam post.
Just look at the size of her in comparison to Laddie!
LR1 took the fish from Laddie and he flew off. She stood around with it for a short while before heading off to the birch, fish in talons. All the while, LR2 was screeching above the nest
LR2 came down to the nest and, very vocally, jumped and flapped around before making his way over to the birch area.
8:33 Both are present at the moment - LR1 (89 days old) on the perch, LR2 (87 days old) on the nest
