In reply to Sandra :
12:58 Laddie with another fish, LR2 pounced on it after grabbing his dad's talons! lol LR1 was still enjoying her meal so had no need to make a claim on the new one
LR2 was unaware that Laddie was approaching with a fish
Then the realisation!
13:01 LR2 took his fish off the nest
13:23 LR1 left with her one
13:29 LR1 back with her fish
It's good to see fish deliveries back on track at the nest after a sparse day yesterday
14:57 While LR1 was still eating her fish, Laddie arrived with another. There were no takers so he flew off with it
She warned him off from her fish
Within a minute or two, LR2 landed on the perch and then moved onto the nest - fish calling!
Will Laddie redeliver the fish?
15:17 LR2 found a piece of discarded fish skin and decided to tuck into that
15:26 LR2 gave up, probably a bit too tough to eat. He picked it up a couple of times to move it aside
15:45 After having her fill of the fish (well, she had been dining on it for almost 3 and a half hours!), LR1 flew from the nest leaving the remainder on there. LR2 was delighted to begin his feast on it!
He took it off nest 15:47ish
17:06 LR2 made a brief appearance on the perch, still with his fish (right talons).
19:20 A Raven was pottering around on the nest and eventually found the discarded fish skin. It sounded very brittle as 'he' tried to break pieces off to eat.
20:40 LR1 landed on the nest still with a sizeable crop
She was joined by LR2 10 minutes or so later
Both were calling for fish
21:04 LR1 flew off
21:11 LR2 had moved onto the perch
21:20 He's still there and extremely quiet!
At around 21:33, Laddie delivered a fish to an empty nest, LR2 had flown away from the perch seconds before and headed over to the birch area. He and LR1 followed Laddie to the nest from that area, with his sibling landing first.
She made a half-hearted attempt to claim the fish before LR2 arrived.
Laddie stood away and, for a second or two, the juveniles looked at the fish before LR2 picked it up once Laddie had left.
He flew off the nest with it.
LR1 fish called for a short while then flew off from the nest
LR1 came back 5 minutes after leaving calling for fish
She stayed for around 5 minutes before heading off to the birch area at 21:55ish
ENS since then
