From little 'fluff balls' to almost fully grown ospreys, LR1 and LR2 are doing amazingly well all thanks to the fantastic ongoing care from NC0 and Laddie (LM12). Not only have we seen Laddie providing fish for his family but NC0 has been successful several times just recently as well - what first-class parents they are! There continues to be the occasional intrusion from ospreys passing through, however, the nest and chicks have been protected outstandingly. We look forward to the next exciting phase in the young ospreys' development.

17:21 Another from Laddie!
LR1 was too engrossed with eating her fish to try to make another claim
A much needed meal for LR2
18:45 Fish from Laddie. LR1 and LR2 were both on the nest, NC0 flapped down from above the cam as Laddie was coming in to land.
LR1 got in quick!
She told NC0 in no uncertain terms to stay away
18:56 A scrap between LR1 and LR2 after he stole the fish from her and she tried to get it back
LR2 pecked LR1
LR1 attacked LR2
LR2 walked away to the back right of the nest leaving the fish in the middle. A very cautious NC0 picked it up
NC0 fed both LR1 and LR2
LR2 ended up with a small morsel to feed himself
19:15 LR2 could be seen flying around beautifully!
He landed on the perch
A pleasure, Cirrus
21:42 LR1 on the nest, LR2 and NC0 are on their separate branches of the birch (LR2 on the lower left)
21:58 LR1 left the nest to join LR2 and NC0 on the birch. She landed on top of the far left branch. NC0 and LR2 are still on their respective branches as reported above
22:00 NC0 to the perch with a fish, she'd dived from the birch (water ripples arrowed)
LR1 flew to the nest to claim it
What a great close-up learning experience LR1 and LR2 had to witness NC0 catch a fish!
While LR1 was tucking in, Laddie delivered a fish
NC0 appeared to be waiting for LR2 to arrive back, which he eventually did
His flight back after leaving the middle branch of the birch (top of pic)
NC0 fed LR2, LR1 eating from her fish
LR1 then went over to join NC0 and LR2 to have some bites of the newest fish
