Ringing Blog >>> Meet our newly ringed osprey chicks - LR1 and LR2
Last month, we saw all three chicks hatch but unfortunately, the third one very sadly passed away after surviving for just over two full days. Laddie and NC0 continue to nurture their two remaining chicks. Long may the good weather, as well as Laddie’s effective hunting, persist so we can continue to watch these wonderful osplets thrive.
Scrap the end sentence of my last post! lol 20:06 Laddie with a 'live' fish. He flew from the birch to the nest to deliver it

20:44 NC0 with a fish. She'd flown from the top of the birch and headed behind it and out of view before coming back round, flying low over the Loch to the nest
There was an animal/bird? sound (like someone with croup) just prior to and when she landed.
21:05 A dive from NC0 and then she flew behind the birch
21:20 Laddie to the nest with a headless fish, NC0 flew in from the birch (where she had not very long landed on) to claim it
LR2 stretched his wing over LR1 then got up to join in with the feed
21:30 Once she had finished feeding the chicks, she fish called and then headed to the birch
21:52 Laddie with a fish, once again NC0 flew in from the birch to claim it
It was a tiddler
LR2 was up for a feed.
LR1 wings
NC0 headed back to the birch at 22:00
22:23 NC0 left the birch, flew behind the trees behind the nest and landed above the cam. LR1 looked up to see her
