On the 15th of March the 360 cam went live and an Osprey landed on the nest. It didn't take too long for a pair to begin bonding:
Male: BlueAX6 "Axel" - Ringed at a nest in Glen Affric on 1st July 2016, he was the only survivor of 3 eggs.
Female: Unringed "Mistle" - a very beautiful specimen, according to our long view.
(Unofficial names - LG will decide on names if deemed appropriate.)
This inexperienced couple is bonding well - Axel has been a good provider, they're both enthusiastic nestbuilders, the only element that requires more work is the mating technique.
EDIT 01 JUNE - Axel & Mistle deserted the nest in May, apparently spooked by intruders. As there has been very little activity since then, this thread will continue to the end of the 2021 season, unless dictated otherwise by ospreys.

Cam info kindly provided by Peter @ Carnyx.tv:
There is an identical camera and microphone on this nest as the HD camera at Llyn Clywedog (Osprey). However the nest was struck by lightning. This took out the camera, the camera power supply and the WiFi link back to the centre. We managed to replace the power supply and Wifi but it was too late in the season to climb to the nest.

Agree, Clare,.
Indeed, Mistle is a stunningly beautiful osprey, but I guess we are biased! There are a number of others I could name :)

RSPB LG celebrated its 50th anniversary there in 2009

Colonel Grant of Seafield donated many items welcomed by the early volunteers in the 1950's, including I remember a sofa. In the early LG warden's log, held on microfiche, they did a yearly invemtory of items in the camp. What most intrigued me most were 'Crowbars - small - 3. Crowbars - medium - 2, Crowbars - large - 1, Crowbars - assorted 6'. All I could think of was that they took protection of the nest from egg thievces very seriously indeed in those times. Not sure the LG volunteers of today have acess to many crowbars.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

BOPS'd? IIRC? you're losing me scylla...
Another successful mating but it's fish she needs. She's giving it laldy but he thinks it's a call for more nookie.
Something like Bottom of the Page Syndromed, I think. And I missed it consequently. I am sorry to have duped your useful info.

Where has KORKY been, fer goodness' sake?
But you didn't dupe and I intend to amalgamate both posts
I've got today's mating clips waiting to be collated, hoping there'll be positive scenes to add by the end of the day - haven't seen Axel since just after 16:00, and now Mistle has flown after a long, lonely vigil on the nest.
A few minutes ago Axel arrived with nest material (I wasn't focused on it at the time), now Mistle is here, probably disappointed.
EDIT - You gotta hand it to him, he brought what was needed:
