Absolutely delighted to have watched three precious eggs being laid. Laddie and NC0 have perfected their incubation duties and, through trying times during April, defended them and the nest from multiple intruding Ospreys. Hopefully, it will not be too long until we see three chicks being cared for by their super parents.
ailie said:Good to see Laddie back and incubating. Sweet change over NCO came back and chirped and Laddie flew of .. think he is sitting in tree, top left nr to where he was earlier
Thank you, Ailie. I do so love their little contact calls when they exchange duty
NC0 had the remainder of the fish in her left talons
Laddie did a PS while on his flight away
NC0 discarded the fish piece on the edge of the nest cup before settling for the night

Laddie's powerful poop over the side of the nest, then the changeover and Laddie's second powerful poop in slomo

The cam went down @ 22:55 - it tried to come back up a couple of times shortly after 23:00 but failed, it's down.

Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning, all. Thanks for the updates
Laddie first came to the nest around 4:40, he kept eyeing the fish piece that NC0 had discarded last evening. He left the nest, leaving it there
As Richard reported, the eggs were unattended for just over 30 minutes before NC0 teturned but prior to that, Laddie came to the nest, took the fish and flew off, NC0 immediately followed him
Approx. 6:15 while NC0 was incubating, Laddie arrived and began to chip/alarm call/mantle. Both appeared to be tracking an unseen intruder. Laddie took flight
As reported by Mike, at 8:00 Laddie took over incubation seemingly giving NC0 a nudge to move her off
NC0 'returned the favour' around 40 minutes later when she shoulder barged him away from the eggs
10:05 NC0 continues to incubate
