Absolutely delighted to have watched three precious eggs being laid. Laddie and NC0 have perfected their incubation duties and, through trying times during April, defended them and the nest from multiple intruding Ospreys. Hopefully, it will not be too long until we see three chicks being cared for by their super parents.
I second that Sandra!! I have been so worried about that shell but all looking good and shouldn't be too long before we welcome this little one into the world.
Have been so worried too, Karen. There's a 'white stringy bit' that appears to be attached to its right shoulder and inside the shell. Is that bare skin or a piece of shell at the top of its shoulder? A fragment of egg #2's shell, I think

Can hear it, just can't see it! NC0 begins a feed
Its head is out! Resting on NC0's talons
#2's shell on the left of chick 3, under NC0's chest. Its body appeared to be in the remainder of its own
My first glance - #3 trying to hatch, no movement - NC0 has settled on it now:
IMAGICAT
It's fine, Scylla - lots of clucking from the little one. It just needs to get its bottom fully out of its shell now, its head was down in the nest cup
