Absolutely delighted to have watched three precious eggs being laid. Laddie and NC0 have perfected their incubation duties and, through trying times during April, defended them and the nest from multiple intruding Ospreys. Hopefully, it will not be too long until we see three chicks being cared for by their super parents.

Catch up
While Laddie was incubating, he was chipping/alarm calling at approx. 10:20. He was still agitated 15 minutes or so later, flapped and left the nest
NC0, almost immediately, flapped down from the nest tree and mantled but soon settled on the eggs
Under 10 minutes after, Laddie brought a stick to the nest and spent some time with NC0. He did make a few chipping calls but then became calm
He left the nest at around 10:50 making a short contact call to let NC0 know he was leaving
11:32 NC0 continues to incubate
11:50 Laddie to the nest with a piece of bark. NC0 left and he took over incubation
NC0 returned just before 12:30. It took a bit of gentle persuasion on her part to get Laddie off the eggs
13:12 She's still incubating in the rain
17:45 NC0, once she had flapped off excess rain from her wings, took flight. She gave a couple of soft contact calls before leaving.
Laddie arrived not long after at all to take over incubation. He too, gave contact calls when he landed
17:50 NC0 returned and it took some persuasion to get Laddie to move off the eggs (vocalisation and a couple of foot nudges!). Of course, he obliged!
Laddie delivered a fish just before 18:55
