I went to wave to Louis today. Loch Arkaig, Achnacarry Castle and the Clan Cameron cairn
Thank you, MARY & GEEMEFF for all the coverage on previous page re Louis & family and the new potential adopters of Louis's forsaken nest. Loved Liz's video, with the 2 little heads popping up

Super photos, KORKY, thank you! Particularly love the Loch one
IMAGICAT
Lovely photos Korky of a gorgeous area, the weather gods were with you too.
Shame Louis and Dorcha didn't come to say hello.
Liz Bracken suggested the name Dorcha for the new female as she appeared to have very dark markings on her face, Dorcha is Gaelic for dark! and anyone who has been to Loch Arkaig will have encountered "The Dark Mile" a stretch of road leading up to Loch Arkaig so it also has some local significance.
It is pronounced with the "ch" as in loch.

152 and Unringed Osprey on the nest @ 17.43
It is good to see them back on the nest, and if they all make safe migrations, it should make for a very interesting season next year.
