Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Morning Mary,
I've noticed that Laddie and NC0 had frost on their wings this morning, This was Laddie at first light
Shortly afterwards, he flew upwards and mating sounds were heard off-cam. NC0 must have been in the nestcam tree.
Thanks for your stick-gate vid!

8:38 Another mating
It is looking really promising now Sandra.
I think so too, Mary.
She's been on the nest for well over an hour now and within that time has nestcupped twice
Here's a snap of one of them
Scene at present
8:58 Laddie flew in and took NC0 by surprise as he landed on top of her. A failed mating attempt.
Laddie flapping down to the nest after being nudged off her back
He did try again but only managed to stand on her back
Laddie off
NC0 now alone on the nest
Laddie was on the nest for 2-3 minutes between 1 and 2 in the morning.
I snapped the frosty morning too:
I agree with pleasure - what a hopeful nest this is now
