Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Billy only the SWT Staff themselves will be able to see what is happening off the nest. Maybe when they issue their next blog they will mention if this is happening or not.

That's a thought, BILLY - Laddie may have teased her too often! I wonder if LOTL Facebook might be a place to ask?
I can't look into it now, am absolutely shattered and must say "g'night".

I wonder if SWT were reading our comments, or was it just coincidence they decided to Tweet about NC0 eating her fish in peace
Just after 17:30, Laddie then NC0 came onto the nest. Intruder around?
Both shot off the nest. Is this the pair of them or another being 'seen off'? (top, middle of pic)

19:00 NC0 to the nest, she landed on the large stick and possibly snapped it. Laddie could be heard prior to landing on NC0 for a very successful mating!
She worked on stick placement
Left at 19:25ish and flew in the direction of, and landed on top of, the dead birch
About a minute later, Laddie (I assume) flew across the Loch (from behind the birch) and made a u-turn to land on a lower branch
Laddie didn't stay too long there, he took off and flew to the right across the Loch and out of cam view. NC0 remained on the branch

Don't ask how long I've wasted trying to do you a movie of this - I planned to enhance the sound and get the stick snapping - but I've mis-deleted crucial bits and am not ferreting them out now!
Anyway, it turned out that NC0 actually brought the stick with her but we could hardly see it:
