It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

13:25 Something must be occurring around the Loch, NC0 clearly on edge, she even made one of her 'goose-like' honks while alarm calling/chipping
Hoping Laddie can deal with the possible intruder
13:29 NC0 quiet now
BFN
Just after 16:45, a blue ringed intruder hovered over the nest. Both Laddie and NC0 were there.
The intruder came back again within moments and landed on the perch - Laddie chased it off
The intruder was ok after dropping from the nest and was seen to fly away underneath it (wing on show - yellow square, bottom right). Laddie within the blue

19:02 Laddie, who had been on incubation duty since about 17:45, left the nest.
NC0 flew to the nest tree coming from the birch area
She flapped down to the nest to incubate

The afternoon intrusion. There is slomo of Laddie's chase-off on the end - I should have a permanent caption "my videos are not over until they're over"
