Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.
11.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays an egg
14.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her second egg
17.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her third egg
Yeh great news, I have been following this nest more than the rest this year. Felt sorry for them last year after the intrusions and the way Laddie was waiting for her to return this year, and then the nest being blown to bits, twice and then that person on a phone last week! Glad they have settled here. It is a job to keep up with all the nests, who is back and who is still to come and keep up with all the happenings!! Thank goodness for our stalwarts here, keeping us up to date, which allows us to dip in and out and try and keep up.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Confirmation from LotL re 2nd egg
14:28 Laddie chipping then stood up to flap at an unseen intruder
Incubating but still looked wary
Laddie made a couple of contact calls as he stood up then flew from the nest.
NC0 flapped down from the nest tree to take over incubation
Laddie to the nest with a stick.
NC0 thought it was a fish delivery and searched his talons!
Laddie placed the small stick
And after a minute or so standing/preening, he took flight...with a talon full of hay in tow!
Hope he brings a fish on his next visit.
BBL
I forgot to up the sound!
I do hope that Scotland's Covid relaxations will allow someone on the cam soon - we need zooming, as the resolution isn't high enough for cropping.
IMAGICAT
Thank you, Scylla!!
Approx. 15:50 Laddie came to the nest with bedding material
17:15(ish) Laddie delivered a small fish; NC0 flew off nest to enjoy
At time of posting, Laddie is still incubating
Off for my dinner now, BFN
A little past 19:15, Laddie shot off the nest - not sure whether it was ducks making a racket in the water that made him do it (a few flew away on the left side). Sounded like he alarm called/chipped but then I heard rustling in the nest cam tree and mating sounds.
Eggs unattended
NC0 flapped down from the tree then began her incubation
When the bird incubating is looking towards the loch its not always easy to see which one it is I think its Laddie ????? Then a few minutes ago NC0 landed on the perch and as a corvid flew past behind the trees she took off to give chase As she came I am almost sure Ihad a quick glimpse of blue Flown again
