March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

Dang, the cam came back just as I was posting the above and I've been doing other things since.
New URL.
A couple of interesting posts from Heather on Chat:
Aran was reported as having a fish off-cam - now MrsG is on the nest, she's been there since I got the cam back and I think she was fish-calling then.
MrsG was hoping to get some of Aran's fish (he's not seen but it was reported on Chat that he had one)... but she waited in vain. But first, a preen on a tree I hadn't registered before:
22 August
scylla said:Aran just landed. We can only see his head at the mo.
He stayed looking out from the back of the nest for 25 minutes.
After that MrsG flew to the nest, seemingly to defend - no-one seen, she flew off and eventually the cam picked up the above scene again, and was still on that when it went down @ about 12:15. (I haven't found any info whatsoever about the cam but it may have been pre-planned to install the new router.)
Birdies LG DU update.
A new visitor to one of the Poole harbour nests today
She was blue 8C, a Glaslyn female from orange 11/98 and an unringed female.
Always nice to see a new bird. I wonder where she has been the last few years.
