March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

I think scylla was 2/3rds right. 'Great/Coal Tit'
16 August
Aran started with a frisk, as has become his practice:
Later, a spate of perch visitors:
Here was Aran on the nest in the morning:
What a blobby breast!
Here he was later, more chilling (preening) on the perch, then he hid but Heather found him:
I do love the trees:
Rowan berries - but despite numerous refocuses, never resolved perfectly, I've "done things" to it, but... they're lovely tho
From Chat - reporting an incident that I think happened around 18:00:
Heather Corfield @ 21:13
Aran suddenly left the low oak perch to try to snatch and grab the fish she [MrsG] was holding. He got hold of it, but she still had a hold too so as he flew off at full speed he pulled her off the perch.
....it was on the bund camera Steve. We cannot do anything at the moment to change the cameras. I am amazed we have live stream still as it is the only thing connected to the internet that is working.
Therefore MrsG was still around in the evening, just not seen on "our" cam.
Checked up to midnight.
Here's Aran - 'bout time too! Looks like he just flapped at someone.
He hadn't flapped at anyone, just flapped himself up onto the sticks.
He had flown in from the right, out of picture on left and back onto nest:
Then he flew off and MrsG flew in to the perch, whereupon Aran flew back and frisked, waited a while on the nest and flew off - MrsG remains on the perch as I type:
I think this is g'night from me.
Birdies LG DU update.
Mike B said:Seems it went down before lunch.
Mine went down just after noon. I didn't reconnect for hours
Plenty of sightings during the morning - this solitary cow has preceded the herd before, I had even wondered if it was a dog, a day or two ago:
Get-together just before noon:
I got the stream going again @ 15:35.
No further activity until the cam zoomed in - for a reason i'm too late to find on Chat:
MrsG returned @ 19:29:
20:15 MrsG went to the nest, had a potter, back to perch 20:25 - @ 20:50 she flew off, diving downwards to the left of the perch. No snaps, the light was poor.
After nightcam, Aran flew in:
Followed by MrsG:
She may have thought he had a fish:
They both flew, him first, a couple of minutes later.
That was it.
Soon time for another daybreak
18 August
Aran arrived @ 05:38, MrsG 6 minutes later:
Here he goes again:
MrsG has flown, Aran remains on the nest at the far side.
