March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

Birdies LG DU update.
The cam has been buffering and darkening for "a long time" now. Checked Chat:

We have a network issue which we are waiting for someone to look at. It seemed stable earlier, but seems to have returned at the moment.
And:
"Oh dear it is hailing again".
And...
Guess who set up screen-capture with timeline a few hours ago? Yeah
Kind regards, Ann
The cam has kept going, tho it's been struggling somewhat.
I think these snaps will speak for themselves:
Aran carted a stick around the nest and beat MrsG with it till she got up - lots of buffer interruptions.
Oh dear! This snuck in for a few minutes:
Then it recovered to Aran incubating, long view:
MrsG is back on the eggs.
Oh boy - the stream went down @ about 08:10 and I've returned to find 1,309 failed files to deal with. It's hell getting rid of them without affecting the legit streams coming down.

News of the Pont Croesor (Friends of the Ospreys) nest. I am not sure whether to put it here, or news from other nests, but I think Glaslyn suits and it won't get lost!
There is a wonderful sound of evening songbirds, sheep and wind, with Mrs G calling, while Aran tucks into a fish
