March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

Just picture of MrsG flying to the nest after a cosy preen with Aran on the perch - after she'd been there a little while, Aran flew in and mated.
Unfortunately I'm flagging. If there's any sign of anything untoward later, I've got all the footage to recap.
Morning PATILY :)
Checking back...
MrsG arrived first, then Aran flew in after a few minutes (she's behind his left wing on the fence):
A couple of good matings, the second one after a rest on the perch together:
That's only up to 06:40.

MrsG got this half-mullet, obviously can't be from that meal:
Later they were having a lovely preen together on the perch when they got interrupted:
Soon after there was a mating on the nest, which I can't get a satisfactory snap of so please take my word for it. If there was an intruder it was dealt with - can't see anything helpful on Chat.
In the evening MrsG went to the perch but didn't stay there, can't tell where she went.
It's a windy night and Chat says it'll be very gusty tomorrow (gosh, that means today already! And I can hear it!).

MrsG's breakfish - this was the size when Aran gave it to her:
Then a bit of a glare:
Watchful on the nest together for several hours, on 'n off:
It doesn't look it in the photo, but it is really blowing a hooley there today. I had to turn the sound off, not just down!

Sheila I was watching Mrs.G just before your snips when the cam was zoomed in on Mrs.G sitting on the rim, she had a good grip of that rim, I think it is windy all over the UK today.
