Until the webcam is up and running and we go back to Daily Updates on the Nest, this thread is for posting any information about LOCH GARTEN.
Fergus has written a new blog with details of when the Centre will be opening - May 1st.

And so say all of us, I'm sure
I just wish he was a faster learner in the mating department - here are his efforts from mid-morning onwards, plus his fine teatime fish:
No nest visits after 19:00.
IMAGICAT
Good morning!
Sometime yesterday the sound deteriorated, with the humbuzz getting worse and the voices fainter - I've worked on this, as with last night's effort, but it's a learning curve that I don't think I'm ever going to complete.
Plenty mating practice in the first early session:
10.27 the cam operator has just panned to the left, Mistle on the nest and AX on old tree. Sorry no screengrab.
Morning all. What a brilliant view now, with, judging by size, Axel on the perch and Mistle on the nest, calling occasionally. I can but assume that's where he was y'day when Mistle kept looking over that way
A lovely day, so far.
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
10.29 Axel left the perch
Mistle left the nest, but returned quickly
10.36 Axel joins her - he's on the far side
Mistle is chatting to Axel and Axel is tending the far rim sticks
Axel returned 10.42 and back to his nestorising. 10.43 Mistle flew off, leaving Axel watching her! Usually the other way round. He left at 10.46.
ENS since then
Hoppy Hank said:I echo thanks to all you who give such detailed updates. I have been following since the first years of Henry and EJ (and visited well before then). I very rarely post but feel I know many of you!! It's great to be able to catch up when I get home from work each day, thanks to your combined efforts. I'm due to visit for the first time in 10 years next month and bringing my little family for the first time, so it's a great pleasure that there looks like a stable couple again.
Welcome! I am sure you will have a super time at LG, viewing the osprey and being able to put everything into context. You may like to see a YouTube vid posted by Scottylass, here
Happy memories of EJ and Odin.
It's an excellent introduction to the Centre, albeit filmed 8 years ago. The drive on the road with the Loch on your right hand side, to the car park on your left and the meeting and greeting kiosk by the car park, and the wildlife seen on the path to the VC, which has recently had an update. Unless they have put in a new screen with the renovation, this screen was paid for by donations from the Forum and his friends, of 'Black Jaguar' who raised funds for LG by cycling from LG to Rutland. Many FB and Forum 'friends' came out to cheer him on. Sadly I haven't seen him posting for a number of years now. This is the thread that Brian/Black Jag posted about his ride.
