Cathy said:Been to Clywedog today, I must say, it is the most beautiful reservoir I have ever seen, such dramatic scenery, and saw our family of three. Happy days.
How lovely for you, CATHY
Brenig 05 July evening
Late on, an osprey brought a fish to the perch - flapped about for a while then flew off - then the regular rooster (IMHO) turned up for the night:
I wonder if it was the male who brought the fish and the female who stays the night?

Lunch:
At one stage 496 was screeching to himself (?) and Seren was most anxious to feed him, it took a long time cos he wasn't concentrating. (I worked on this sound and it's come out quite well.)
Choochie-face
496 andhis mum looking rather damp Just as 496 settled doen, Dylan arrived and the chick got up expectantly
However, Dylan was empty taloned and, indeed, his visit was very fleeting

Thank you, SANDRA - I should get about more but that's unlikely to happen ;)
06 July
Brenig
LM6 left this morning (as per FB vid above) but returned not long after - no explanation, she didn't have a fish, didn't stay all that long. No more sightings till LM6 took up her usual roosting position late evening.
In the afternoon a Jay visited briefly, with a little treat a-beak:
Clywedog
No fish for some hours, first Dylan brought grass:
And consignments of sticks, this awkward one he left for Seren to sort out:
He later tried to cast a pellet, I couldn't see any product:
After several deliveries of inconsequential nest materials, at last a FISH! Couldn't get a better shot, it landed behind the sticks and got bustled away
Rain took away a lot of photo opportunities:
It was like that for the rest of the afternoon/evening, our chick spent most of it lying down stoically alone. Also, the stream dropped out, about 6 clips covered the time between 15:00 and 19:00.
What with the rain and Seren blocking our view, this is all I can show of supper arriving:
From rollback of the evening clip, Seren had an enthusiastic feed from that fish - when chick didn't want any more - then Dylan took it away and brought some back, and Seren fed that to the chick. Everyone was very bedraggled, especially Seren
