There is an egg at Llyn Brenig. Believed laid yesterday afternoon - footage review has found it was there at 16.15

Let's hope LM6 and LJ2 get a chance to raise the youngster(s) in peace.

I was going to grumble about the usual slowness ofthe RSPB forum atthe start of the month but it is insignificant compared to this awful, horrific news We were so happy at developments on this nest How can anybody be so wicked I hope they find who is responsible and throw the book at them, although that doesn't help this pair I hope they are OK My thoughts are with them and all those trying to protect them

I have thought for a long time that Llyn Brenig is not a suitable place for ospreys to nest but i have kept my thoughts to myself until now. There is just too much going on in that area and they are not being properly protected. A disaster that was waiting to happen. So disappointing.
