All the HISTORY of Balgavies Loch Ospreys can be found at the start of the 2019 THREAD.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

The nest failed in 2020 and 2019 but the new male KR3 and Unringed female were seen at the nest last season, so lets hope they both return this season and are able to occupy the nest before the geese take residence.

A shame, but I'm a bit late (also) this year in checking the forum and especially this thread. Second year in a row and looks like travel restrictions have have an adverse effect on my desire to keep the pace with news: not having to plan the next journey to Scotland definitely kills my curiosity. I will try to change my attitude in the remaining part of the season, no doubt that the return of Blue YD will help in achieving the goal.
Thank you Mary for starting the thread and for posting these fabulous photos - and also for replying to one of my few posts in another thread to let me know that Blue YD is back!
Hopefully you will get to travel closer to home Roberto, please share some of your photos here if you do.
Darren has sent me some lovely photos over the last week mostly of Blue YD - the last two taken yesterday.

Darren has just contacted me to say that KR3 has returned (the resident male of the last two years). I just hope that Blue YD can hold on to the nest, but more importantly that neither of them get hurt fighting for the nest.
