I remember that Maya's name came from MAntop bAY and that at the time other names were proposed and we were asked to vote for which one we favoured........and Maya won

It does seem to be a mixture of things. Maya was named Maya on 8th April 2014 which was before Green 5R was definitely known to be lost.

Such a long stretch of water between Africa and Europe, no wonder he took time out in Portugal to recover!  So good to hear he returned safely.
