Transferred here from ROP because S2 is not present as hoped.

Yesterday a big start was made on the nest by German male Black 7TG and an unringed female.

It continued this morning, and during a break a huge-looking Canada goose checked the nest:

,,, and got unceremoniously evicted by one of the ospreys, who even dive-bombed it on the water:

Male arrived @ 06:30 and chilled for half an hour before starting another morning of toil:

The goose had to be driven off again - it had been on the nest for nearly 10 minutes:

I didn't see 2 on the nest until the female turned up @ 18:40 - whereupon she wouldn't allow BlackT to mate, their behaviour was that of a new couple, which I suppose they are?
