This afternoon a Stock Dove spent FIFTY MINUTES perched on the... perch
These two white Sika deer were still out browsing at nightcam time:

I really don't understand why this system has such a problem with quotes.
That was right on the cusp of the end of one and the beginning of the next 6 hours, Richard, but here's a sample. (It eased off around 21:00 but still sounded very windy.)
IMAGICAT
30-second sample of the hail this afternoon:
22:00 - It seemed to descend behind the nest like a moon, but it was just one o' them "orbs":
More hail @ 12:55, not nearly as heavy as yesterday.
No birds seen up to 16:55
Only a pair of Corvid's one on the pole and another out of site on the webcam, but you could see the two fly off.
EDIT @ one Corvid is back and in the background is the White Deer munching on those trees just to the right of the nest.
Then the deer appeared between munching

I'm saying a pair of Coat Tits dashed about the nest this morning, they were all over and in among the sticks. (Actually I thought one looked more like a Great Tit but am not going to angst over it.)
Lots of flies again up to mid-afternoon - I don't remember seeing this last year, is there anything in the "mulch" attracting them?
No-one else seen up to 17:30.

I've just checked some vids from March 2020 and don't see the flies. The "mulch" looks similar except there is (EDIT - I meant "was in 2020") some greenery scattered.
