Thanks TIGER whilst I fully understand about philopatry you do get quite a few males who "buck the trend".......like several of Mrs G's sons.....and I thought perhaps one or two might have passed over CJ7's nest
If she does manage to attract a young translocated male this year we could have a repeat of the situation with her last beau and she'll miss the oppoetunity to breed this year
There are a whole lot of males at Rutland who cannot breed either. If she was that bothered she would be up there to breed with one of them. Hopefully they will soon be used in another translocation.

The wait goes on - random clips from this morning before she (presumably) went fishing:
She was back by 10:50, no fish - there've been some strong breezes - the stick on the right fell off eventually:
She's crouched in the breeze at the mo.

I know the females tend to wander, but she could have wandered somewhere locally.
Born in Scotland, raised in Poole and nesting in Wales. What a well travelled girl.
Still it is good news and every success to them.
I remember last year well, and was saying the same things then as well, telling her to get back to Poole. There seems to be quite a lot of young single males about, just not where we want them,
CJ7 has spent a lot of time on the nest the past couple of days, as usual. Nothing unusual to report. This morning she landed @ 05:28, this is one of her campost leaps.
