Clare: I play chess on Chess.com against robots. But I'm really, really bad at it. I mean embarrassingly bad! So bad it's hilarious. I still find it relaxing, though. LOL! I play at the first, most beginning level. I only play against robots, because it's not humiliating. I'm fairly good at Scrabble, but Chess requires different brain skills, which I apparently lack. LOL
Hey, Annette and anyone else who uses an iPhone or iPad. Per Apple, you need to update your operating system immediately. Just click to install the update on your phone, due to a security issue.
Gardenbirder, thanks for the fun Marimba music. A lovely sound, and as said, I adored watching them swap about during the performance. Sorry I revealed my lack of geography talking about the snow - I forgot about mountains!
I too, need plumbing - not fond of camping out and roughing it. Perhaps I could bring a caravan and park nearby!! I would want to build a decent BBQ to cook our food on, though I'm not sure what we'd do for meat, for those of us not vegetarian.
Rosy: Put a Trader Joe's next to M&S and I'm there! And maybe add Gelson's Deli counter too....
Just went to the library to pick up (curbside) four books I reserved. Am uploading typically grainy image to show how our wonderful librarians cope with the pandemic in the rain!
Hmm. Didn't look too blurry this time.
Linda, I love the poem. Glad to hear you enjoyed the marimba trio. My smile just got wider as it went along and we applauded at the end; it is a rousing tune and performance. Mr GB plays a great game of scrabble. Although both of us have grown out of the roughing-it stage and prefer our comforts, he'd enjoy a regular game of scrabble and he usually wins, often getting 7-letter words several times per game--he's the only person I know who regularly beat my Mum at scrabble. But while it is impressive, it does damp my enthusiasm to play the game somewhat! However, I used to be fairly decent at chatting, but the virus is making me a bit anti-social; hope things get back to normal soon. Perhaps we could visit the cave occasionally, please, cuppa tea, game of scrabble, a bit of talk maybe?! Sorry but I'm even more rubbish at chess, monopoly, etc.
Kind regards, Ann
