WEEKLY CHAT (NON-OSPREY) SUNDAY DECEMBER 27, 2020

  • Just the thing to start off a more positive New Year, Lindy.

Our first ospreys are due back in less than 80 days!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Wishing you all a very happy New Year!
Thank you for your company, laughs and support ...
  • Thank you, Heather. I've been unable to post on here at all today- gremlins again!!
  • The gremlins always come out to play on the first of the month ...
  • Morning all: A few lone fireworks in the neighborhood that I sort of heard in my sleep. Yesterday was a kind of 'lost' day with not much attempted or accomplished. Must do better today and set the tone for the new year.
  • Couldn't get on here earlier - 1st of the month syndrome, I assume! But plenty of people seem to have been more patient than I - so thanks for all the NY wishes! I will now read in more detail.
  • Lots of time on the phone today.... a day for catchup with everyone. I said this morning "I don't know what day of the week this is, but looking at the calendar it's Friday, so now we're having a three day weekend!"

We still have snow laying in the garden, even though it's been warmer during the daylight hours. The birds were lined up in the hedge next to the bird feeder when I went out to give them their breakfast.

The usual reviews of the past year have been rather grim this time, although I enjoyed seeing the story of Captain Tom once again, and his impressive fund raising.
