Weekly Chat, Sunday, December 5, 2010

Hi everyone: Have a nice Sunday. Don't forget to catch up on last few entries of previous week - AQ is havng a hard time sleeping coz of the heat!!

Daughter here for the night; catch up tomorrow.  :-)

  • Good morning auntie sorry you are having to work so hard.  I agree about feeling more tired in winter when it is cold and so few daylight hours.  I really have to push myself to do anything.  At least the countdown clock to EJ's return is marching on.  Hope the weather is better for her when she does return.  Can't forget last year and all that snow.  Hope you manage to have a break from work soon and catch up with yourself.  Take care.

  • OG : Current temp is +3.2c and rising so maybe I will wear my shorts to walk Hamish later . LOL

  • Hi AQ so pleased you did not suffer any damage but feel so sorry for those that did.  What is wrong with the weather nowadays.  I have never known it so cold for so long.  Here in the South it is usually warmer but not this year so far.  Had about 5 inches of snow last week, which thankfully has gone but because it rained on freezing roads there was a lot of black ice to contend with.  Hope summer will arrive for you soon.

  • Hello  Annette  pleased to hear your landscaping is going well.  Smiled when you talked about Lightning is happy with all the piles of dirt to investigate.  Typical a white cat who loves to get dirty.

  • Good afternoon SheilaFE I have to agree with out about the Men's Singles result.  Really don't like DJokovic, always has an excuse when he does not play very well.

Alan not a good idea, although my postman has worn shorts all through this cold spell.

  • Went along to Whitley Bay this morning ... the temp reached the heady heights of +3.5C, and the steady dripping outside shows the thaw is underway .... HURRAY!

It was strange to see the Links and dunes covered in snow ... and even stranger to see curlew poking around in the snow-covered grass! I saw a huge flock of geese in one of the fields beside the beach on the way home ... I've never seen them in those fields before. I suppose it must be a little easier to feed closer to the sea.

OG - lovely blue tit photo

Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!
