Morning/evening all: Off to catch up on today's posts.
Is anyone looking at Loch of the Lowes webcam2 just now? ... it is on the osprey nest and there is a small bird of prey ... I don't know what it is :-( Any ideas?
EDIT - it just flew off!

Missed the Woody, jsb, but there are lots of small birds on there, now. Looks cold!
Couldn't get my link to the webcam to work, I havn't used it in a while.... looks like a Goshawk??? Joan
Good morning DjoanS and Lindybird I was wondering whether it could be a kestrel but my bird indentification is not great so it could be a goshawk.
Margobird
Lindybird so nice to see the face behind the words. I must say you were looking very "glam" in your new sunglasses and hat. Bet you could do with some of that sunshine and warrmth now.
There's a new link Linda - http://www.swt.org.uk/wildlife/webcams/loch-of-lowes2/ I wasn't sure what bird it was from the back view and it didn't co-operate and turn round!
EDIT - forgot to say ... like the pic ... very glam!!
Morning all,
No snow here in Hunts. Started off frosty and sunny but now cloudy and cold. Defrosted bird bath earlier but I notice it has frozen again. A few more birds in the garden this morning, blue tit, goldfinch, female blackbird and 2 collared doves and a woodpigeon. Current temp 1.6c.
Happy Thanksgiving to Annette, Gary, Barbara Jean, Caerann.
Linda : I like your hat and sunglasses. Very Audrey Hepburn ish.
Wendyb: I agree about this particular tennis tournament. Its been very dull with very few exciting matches.
Thanks to everyone else for the chat and keep warm on this freezing day.
Was just squinting at the pic Joan put on, when they came to collect my old stove - hooray! Now Friend & I can go gadding off this afternoon to see "Harry Potter" - I'm off to look up goshawks in my ID book, now....
EDIT: ps. thanks to Joan for new link to Scottish Webcam -
yes, I was hot then, it was over 30 degrees! -- now, as I said yesterday, I have my vest and warm slippers on! Was pleased with the hat as its one of those which will squash up and not spoil the shape, later. Had to hold it on in the wind, though!
Oh dear, lots of birds with markings on their backs like that - could even be a Sparrowhawk or Merlin..... I'll leave it to the experts Joan.
Hi Diane just love the pic of the bald eagle chicks, so cute. Hope you are not getting the bad weather I see mentioned.
Happy Tnanksgiving to Annette, Gary, Barbara Jean, Caerann, hope you have a good day.
