  • I know I'm confused, but what I just wrote came out garbled and halfway across the page, so I'm not going to try and change it!
  • Lindy - Hope the tea has helped to bring you back to Sunday morning!
  • Watching the Remembrance at the Cenotaph - we went outside briefly at 11.00 as some said that it would be a fitting tribute if we all stood for two minutes on our doorsteps. We stood in the road, as no one would see us on our front step, but could only find two young nurses standing beside their car parked outside next door - they had come to see the new babe.
  • I walked to town this morning, hardly ever go shopping on Sunday but needed to blow some cobwebs away. I was in Primark at 11am, they announced a two minute silence, the whole shop came to a standstill.
  • Heather - That's really good to hear. A few years ago I was in Tesco and they announced the two minutes' silence on 11 November. Everyone respected it - bar one lady who shouted at the check-out girl to continue checking her shopping. The girl ignored her, until the silence was over. I admired her tremendously.
  • It turned wet this afternoon but it's been a mild day.

Put several pieces into the jigsaw all at once at lunchtime, which was very satisfying. It's very like doing a crossword, where you can see things differently if you put it down for an hour or two.
  • Pictures from our walk the other day:

My OH letting Bonnie off the lead as we start out. This is a walk we've shown before- it's very straight because it's part of a long disused railway line,  and part of a route called "The Pennine Way"

  • Lovely autumn leaves.
