Hi all. Off to read last few posts of previous week.

  • Hello to all - I have read all your posts, thankyou!

I have had a busyish day, different family members popping in and out, and one family to lunch. I would like to do a proper reply to you all but am flagging, one of those nights with very little sleep! Six hours of listening to Radio Scotland and BBC World Service. I know that I'm not alone and if that is all I have to worry about, I'm lucky. I don't have to get up and go to work, so another plus there.

All your messages are - hopefully - stored in my head and although we start a new page tomorrow, I aim to get on here and write!!  (Opening two pages is a good idea, I have done this before.)

    Regards to everyone

  • Hi everyone.

Thanks for all the posts and pics.  In the last few days I've definatley noticed a change in the air as we move into the colder months.  Although this evening it feels a bit milder.  I've always wanted one of the weather people on TV to go on camera, wrapped up with several coats, scarves, gloves, hats etc. and shout to the viewers:  "Well!?  What do you think it is!?  A heatwave!?"

Sorry there isn't much in the way of individual replies but the last couple of days have flown by.  So with six pages I'd probably end up getting replies mixed up or leaving one or two people out, which makes me feel bad.  Oh! nearly forgot to mention, I saw four Goldfinches in the garden the other day.  That's the most I've seen at any one time.  Haven't seen any Blackbirds for a couple of weeks, so I guess they must be moulting.

Emma:  Glad to hear your husband passed his HGV driving test.  Thanks for the Michael McIntyre clip.  I actually remember watching that on TV.  Absolutely hillarious.

OG:  Thanks for the advanced October birthday wishes.  I'm sure I'll remember what drawer I stored them in.  LOL  Thanks for the pics of the chubby Chaffinch.

Diane:  Glad to hear I'm not alone in forgetting where I've put things.  Another thing I've been doing for years is going to a room and then forgetting what I was there for.

Margobird:  I'm very sorry to hear about your OH's friend.  So sad as he's at such a young age.

Lynette:  Thanks for the pic of the cat.  Hope you have a great holiday.

Everyone:  I hope your all having a great weekend.  My best wishesto you all.

    Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

    Any ospreys in Vermont?

Come to think of it that is where Lisa's (Blackwater, Maryland) young eagle was sent a few years back. It was part of a programme to bring bald eagles back to Vermont if I remember rightly.
