One of the problem on this forum is that important threads sink and have to be bumped. An alternative to this is to create an index thread and then people can keep the link to this index in their favourites.
To start with I think the Odin and EJ are likely to be in use for some time yet.

I have now put this link in my signature.

[/quote] The bumping of threads is widely considered to be bad forum etiquette and should only be done in exceptional circumstances. By bumping you are pushing someone else's thread off the page. That's the same as saying , "Get out of the way ! What I have to say is far more important than anything you could possibly have to say" My gallery here Checkout the forums' Community HOMEPAGE for lots of interesting posts from other members.

I've only ever bumped for the sake of keeping someone else's post prominent, and I know that Daisy Ray's bump was totally selfless. But now that you've put it that way, Galatas, I see what you mean :o I can think of some places that should be C&P'd!
As for adding to favourites - finding Tiger is going to be a lot quicker than ploughing thru my faves ;-)
IMAGICAT
As far as bumping threads go, what it really means that no one should reply in ANY thread as that bumps it up to the top! Figure that one out. Are we not supposed to communicate? If no, then what is this community all about?
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Oh dear. I'm with Chloe and Scylla. Galatas it may be bad etiquette but this is a busy forum and the threads with more activity sometimes push the useful ones off the screen. It wasn't a problem when there were fewer 'main' threads
Thank you, Scylla, ChloeB and Emma Peel.
Tiger, I can't bring up the live feed, I tried it through your index thread and I still get a white box with a red cross in the corner. Best wishes Liz mitchell

Useful or interesting is all a matter of personal opinion. Bumping , for no other reason than to push threads YOU don't consider useful or interesting off the front page , is bad manners , selfish and inconsiderate.
