I hope he hasn't got to go back Alicat, a steroid injection in the ear sounds extremely painful. Poor fellow.
have just checked through oodles of blogs (all interesting as usual)' what with appointments, swimming, 3 sessions of voluntary work and commitee meeting I don't seem to have had time to log on - and when I did have the time OH was usually logged on already and playing internet chess.
so sorry MARGO that you have had to delay hols. Get better please really quickly so you can get away on Sunday and enjoy a nice relaxing break. On the health front I have both bad and good news, bad first. My NHS dentist cannot do my dental work as they are implant related crowns. He said that he does not feel qualified to go ahead and in any case he has checked through the NHS list of codes and it is not included so has to be done privately. Don't think I'd get a bean if I tried to sell my body so will have to raid the piggy bank yet again!!! The good news is that the A & E consultant is really pleased with the progress my shoulder is making although it will take a good few weeks yet before it is anything like normal.
Very belated Happy Birthday to LINDY sounds like you had a great meal out.B
LYNETTE don't count the lenghts, just enjoy the swim.
AQ you probably won't like me saying this but they look like very pretty weeds to me.
ALICAT your poor dog, hopefully the problem is now completely fixed. Remember Dillon really shrieking at the vets once and thought he would be put off for good, but not a bit of it, within seconds he was wagging his tail again.
HEATHER AND ANYONE ELSE IN THE INV AREA We must have done something right at last as the sun is now shining on us and due to do so for a few more days. Please let it last till next weekend as we are thinking of going to the Leuchars Air Show. Off to do some more watering
Here's a live webcam of Belmar beach in New Jersey. Hurricane Earl has not reached this area yet. I cannot believe that people are still surfing and swimming in that water with the storm rip currents. One person has already disappeared when he could not be rescued.

Margo: So sorry that you feel so bad and your trip had to be postponed.
Gary: Stay safe tonight!!!
(Like Annette, I was also an editor. I was not allowed to use exclamation marks at all in my last job. So I will continue to use them with wild abandon!!!!!!!!! Bwahahahahaha!!!)
Catch up with everyone later.
Dibnlib, sorry to hear about the dental work. I can;t imagine that's going to be at all cheap. Sounds encouraging about your shoulder though. You sound very busy as usual.
Brenda, those biccies sound yummy. Choccy digestives are my downfall! The pub lunch siting outside sounds very nice as well
Alicat, hope he hasn't got to go back for that injection.
Joan, sorry you started off feeling rough. Hope you improve as the day goes on.
we've had some rain from Earl and it's still over 300 miles away. However, it looks like it's tracking out to sea a little more than they thought so that's good news all round.
Edit, thanks for that link Diane. Those people are mad. It's so dangerous.
I think, for us, it's going to be a "non event". Have a good day.

Hi gary, i hope he don't have to go back for the injection it was bad enough when they had to draw it without him having to go through that as well he is 15 now so don't like when they chew him about with things i always think that this could bring on a heart attack
OG Arm is coming along fine – doesn’t hurt at all now. The Treatment Room Sister has dealt with many of my skin tears and thee were almost cries of joy when she removed a dressing and saw how it was healing! We haven’t had any doggy competitions for some weeks, so just walking and training (when my arthritis permits). Back to shows again next weekend and for two weekend thereafter.
Gardener has removed the escallonia hedge and all the redundant plants – I’ll probably replace one or two later. He came back yesterday and put up a fence between us and the road. It was very warm and I was worried about dehydration but he refused bottled water, saying he’d use the outside water-tap. What a treasure.
Lynette I’ve been trying, on and off, to complete a tapestry for a firescreen for more years than I care to remember. I bought the kit while visiting in-laws in Falkirk – f-i-l died 22 years ago. BTW could you please remind me how to get the Abernethy feeder cam?
Margobird Seems a sensible idea to put off your departure until Sunday – hope you are feeling miles better by then.
Gary Hope Earl misses you. Keep safe anyway.
BrendaH Echo biscuits are great. Have you tried the mint ones? My real self-indulgent biscuits are Thornton’s mini caramel squares.
Patriciat, sorry about your arm. I'm probably late in picking this up but glad it's healing OK ish. I don't know if I mentioned but my neighbour runs/shows 3 golden retrievers and she is out all weekend, every weekend!
Alicat, yes, lets hope it doesn't come to that. At 15 he deserves a nice quiet, uneventful life.
Alan, thanks for those images. I had to look up where the park was. Great stuff:)
