Weekly Chat, Sunday August 29, 2010

Hallo everyone. Just started this but now off to actually read recent posts!

  • Good afternoon Lindybird we have lovely weather here today but I am not feeling well enough to enjoy it.  It was a good job I did most of the ironing last weekend as I wouldn't have felt like doing now.  Housework has gone out the window too.  I generally really yuck at the moment.  We are going until Sunday as OH thinks I am not well enough, so hopefully by then I will feel much better.  Not getting a lot of sleep either with all the coughing.

Sheila  welcome to the weekly chat it will keep us going until another osprey season.

  • Good afternnon Paul I wish I hope the antibiotics take those infections to a gloomy back street and have ahem! a wee word with them too.  Not enjoying feeling like this at all, especially just before the holiday.  Not going until Sunday now to give me an extra day to hopefully feel a little better.

    Margobird

  • Margobird : Sorry that you are still not feeling any better. I hope that you are able to enjoy your holiday.

Everyone else thanks for the chat etc.

Lady P is a bit better today but her sister is still in hospital. Hamish ears seem a bit better after a few days of drops. Another lovely day with early morning mist. We were wakened up this morning at half one with this clinking noise on the doorstep. Had a look out the window and there was this large hedghog scuttling across the road away from our house. We had left some food out for our adopted cat Marvin, who actually belongs to our neighbours and the hedgehog was having a midnight feast.

Did a bit of gardening in the morning , then went off to Barnwell CP for another picnic. Making the most of the picnicing weather while it lasts. We saw the swan which had nested on mill lake with all 7 of her cygnets almost fully grown now. I have taken Hamish out for his walk so now going to enjoy the sun in the garden. No doubt Hamish will drag out his blanket and lie on it.

  • took my dog to vets yesterday he had a blood blister on his ear they put a needle in to draw it several times he didn't like that not one little bit he was crying in pain

  • Margobird, so sorry you are still feeling rough. You take it easy and hope you feel better very soon. Don't push yourself too hard.

Annette, what a lovely sounding day. Good luck at the docs today.

Brenda, hope you brought a few treats at the supermarket.

Linda, that sounded a nice tree to hang the lights from. Glad you have a hedge now.

Auntie, thanks:) that weather really sounds like Fall. Thanks for asking about Clover. We brought a new horse called Lida, so Clover now has a new "sister". She came from the other side of the Country and had a drive of about 3000 miles to get here (which was a whole big saga in itself!) Glad you enjoyed the musical. Great graphic of Stinky, never seen him before!

SheliaFE, sounds a lovely start to the day and lovely to see a buzzard.

AQ, love the thought of D2's "guard cat" LOL. That weather sounds horrible. bad sign you have to take your shoes off. Hope you enjoyed the evening.

Lynette, hope you're getting on with the tapestry:)

Alan, glad lady P is a little better but sorry about SIL. LOVE hedgehogs, so glad you're feeding it! lol Hope you enjoy the rest of the day and fine weather.

Alicat, sorry to hear about your dog at the vets. Never nice to see them in pain

Well, it's now coming up to 10am and it' sunny without a breath of wind!! lol

  • Afternoon all ... had a slow start to my day ... woke up feeling grotty ... don't know what it was but felt really YUK, so went back to bed! After another long sleep I felt ok thank goodness. Its another lovely day here, although a little cooler than yesterday.

margobird - so sorry you are not recovered enough to start your holiday tomorrow - fingers crossed for a Sunday start.

Wil catch up with the rest of the chat later!

Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

  • Shopping all done, but Waitrose was very busy. We went out for a pub lunch and it was very pleasant sitting in the pub garden eating.

Margo, so sorry you are still feeling so bad. Probably the right decision not to travel untill Sunday, when hopefully, you will be feeling so much better.

Linda, My marathon HW was something I don't recommend, although I was so glad this morning when I knew that I was up to date with it all. Sorry, I won't be volunteering to do your's.

Alan, you will have to leave food out for the hedgehog now. It will probably be back tonight, now that it has found a source of tasty cat food. I am told that they prefer dog food, but they can be ill if you give them cat food which contains fish. Glad to hear your wife's sinus problems are improving but sorry to hear your S-i-L still requires a hospital treatment.

Gary, I really do hope that you suffer no damage from the hurricane and that you both stay safe. My treat whilst shopping was to buy some chocolate biscuits, called Echo. I find them very morish and have to be very strict with myself.

Joan, I hope you continue to feel better. It certainly doesn't sound like you, to go back to bed.

Alicat, I hope your dog is feeling happier now. Our last dog used to head for the exit door when he heard his name being called as the next to see the vet.

AQ, You seem to be having a large amount of rain and storms. Not much fun when you have to wade through the streets without shoes.

Lynette, You do realise that we are all waiting to see your finished tapestry now,so keep at it.

Sheila, Sounds a lovely way to start your day, with all those swallows and house martins.

I hope you are all enjoying your day. The sun is still shining, so off to the garden.
