On Caroline's blog entry yesterday she said Odin  was seen eating a fish on a  branch under (?) the nest, but did not bring any to the  nest  even thought the chicks were  calling. Is he fattening  up for a  trip??  Check her bog entry of  yesterday, Aug 21, for the exact wording

Yes but it said  YESTERDAY (as in Friday 20th August)

Oh I didn't  see that. I must have read it too quickly . hum-m-m-m

Maybe he is gone. I don't think he brought any fish yesterday did he?

  • EJ had been eating some of the  fish before she brings it to the nest so  maybe they see her and that is why they are  calling non- stop

  • Yesterday , Titch may have been the wise one to  eat all day until his fish was consumed. :) It was a  huge one,  so he had an enormous meal !  Ona blog a coupel of days ago  it was said one chick lost it's fish trying to eat in a tree. May be it was Titch and he wasn't taking any chances with this one. We can never know , but  do they suspect the free food supply is coming to an end so they are  very careful with what they get?

  • Maybe tough love begins for the chicks today!

  • One flew off leaving one on nest.  Pics of eldest I'm sure on the 13th and 15th August, as yet can't find anymore after those dates. Gem left alone has now flown off but calling in distance.

  • If there is no  food delivery today I'll bet Titch is the first to  try to find the  fish farm and try fishing . He is  a survivor !!

  • ---they have both flown off now -- here is the one left alone for a few minutes:

I'm with you there, Barbara Jean - he is going to be resourceful!

  • One back on the nest shrieking away , the other shrieking offstage.  Think this is the eldest on the 17.8.10Now both juves back on the nest in chorus for some breakfast.

  • --both back again, and of course, still shouting!
