  • Been on the phone a lot, and unpacking: amazing how much stuff comes and goes whenever we go away.

Bonnie caught a baby rabbit this morning, in the fields. My OH says it's because she comes upon them in the crops, and they freeze, hoping she won't see them, but of course she has a supersonic sense of smell, so she finds them. He can't catch her once she has hold of one, as she knows he wants to take them from her, so she then runs off with it.
  • Feeling very tired today, maybe because of excitement yesterday when some of the family were here !
I had to get up and going earlier than I would like today, TV man arrived before 9 to sort out my satellite problems. Now got a replacement dish and all is well. The old one was almost 20 years old and the signal had become poor.
I'm up to date with everyone and your news, thank you.
  • Oh dear. Guess she is like lightning.
  • LINDA - naughty Bonnie! Short lead walks only for a while might help.
  • OG - Sadly, it's incurable. It's an instinct with spaniels to catch small animals. She also had a tiny bird the other day in our garden, but I think she had found it as a baby fallen out of the nest because it didn't have any feathers, so it was probably already dead.

The rain here has been non stop. This afternoon, I sat with a blanket over my knees watching TV and eventually put the heating on! But looking out of the window now, I think it's finally stopping.

Picture to follow of our garden when we got home yesterday.
  • Heather, sorry it took so much out of you having the family round. It can be very tiring, suddenly having visitors when you're not used to it. Glad your TV is sorted out.
  • Some colourful things to cheer us up!
