I'm starting this thread in case it's not possible for MARY to do it due to the first-of-the-month freeze-up.
Aila, Louis and their 3 chicks are flourishing, with Louis proving a great provider to the biggest family he's had so far.
I might add some snaps 'n things if I last a bit longer, but let's get the thread on the road first ;)
IMAGICAT
JJ6 hatched on 29 May so not far off 50 days. He hasn't helicoptered yet, so I also don't think fledging is imminent (although JH4 disproved that theory). Ian
Hi Korky, Doddie (JJ6) is 49 days today, hatched Friday 29th May. He certainly looks ready!
10.34 today:

Mallie and Rannoch didn't really helicopter either, just did a bit of flapping and took off. We shall soon find out!

Oh yes. Sorry I thought it was 1 June when he was supposed to hatch.....!
14.40 Aila back on camera pole, alarm calls, chicks pancake.
15.20, fish. Aila jumps down from the camera after Louis lands. Ian
Something was attracting the attention of four of them.

17.57, fish. One of the chicks (JJ6) grabbed it and when Aila tried to retrieve it she was nipped. Ian
EDIT - 18.12, JJ7 takes the fish from JJ6. JJ6 tries to take it back but JJ7 gives him quite a vicious nip on the head.
Fish number four, small headless trout 17.57.25
Fledging tomorrow? Doddie gets high! 19.00
