I'm starting this thread in case it's not possible for MARY to do it due to the first-of-the-month freeze-up.
Aila, Louis and their 3 chicks are flourishing, with Louis proving a great provider to the biggest family he's had so far.
I might add some snaps 'n things if I last a bit longer, but let's get the thread on the road first ;)

15.43, Louis brings a whole fish to the nest. Aila is fish calling off-camera and takes a while to come to the nest. She seems distracted and ignores the fish for ages. Even when she takes it, she seems pre-occupied so JJ8 takes the fish from her. JJ8 makes some (to me) half-hearted attempts at the fish. Eventually Aila takes it back, at the moment it seems that only JJ8 is hungry. Ian
Another cross-post - sorry Ian!
Is Doddie thinking it's a long way down...?

As Mary says, two posts are better than none. Ian
All bases covered - you look that way and I'll look this way

05.46 & 07.31, fish. The first one was whole and flapping. WT chat reports it as a pike. Louis had eaten a chunk of the second one and Aila arrived a few seconds after him. Ian

Mornnig, patily, Ian and Korky!
Louis is fishing so well, no one seemed especially interested in either fish this morning. I even scolled back to check if there'd been a stealth delivery during the camera reboot. Too full, too wet, or thinking about flying? Weather forecast is for sun this afternoon, high of 16, so could be ideal fledging conditions.

I think the oldest chick is 46 days old. Probably a bit early to fledge yet. Anything from 50 days + so could be in the next week
