As the season progresses, Laddie (LM12) continues to make occasional visits to the empty webcam nest, defending his area from passing intruders. It is hoped that both he and NC0 have a successful nest in the vicinity of the Loch.

Well what a surprise. I was checking the cam live thinking what a lovely sunset reflecting on the Loch, when what should appear?
21:29 An Osprey flew onto a pine tree, area left of the nest
It paid particular attention to the trees to its left, across the Loch
21:31 Flying away
Blurred flight low down over the water
There appeared to be wing movement past the tree, back right of the nest (circled),

I've only just got there and had to pop in to check you have it - mighta know'd
I was only thinking "it's too windy even for Ravens".
It was back around 19:00 - I didn't see it fly off, it disappeared into the grass at the back:
Very rough caps - not even resized.
No-one else seen up to gone 06:00 but I haven't listened overnight.
IMAGICAT
I just went to close down the LOTL tab because of sounds distracting from other sounds, IYKWIM, and was struck by the vivid blue of the loch:
8:10ish A raven back this morning, joined by a second one
14:00
A beautiful sheen to its feathers
15:57 Laddie and an unringed intruder onto the nest! He mantled/chipped. There were other chips/alarm calls in the distance
Laddie to the nest (distant chipping seconds before he came into view) Edit - this pic looks like Laddie is swinging in holding a vine - just like Tarzan! lol
Intruder follows
Intruder flew off to the right
Intruder flew over the Loch towards the nest then out of view (top left)
Preening
He flew from the nest at 16:16
Just as a note, Ravens were on the nest again just after 15:00 (stayed until 15:25), one was digging to Australia! Distant chipping was heard at 15:09 & 15:11
Well caught Ms. Marple ooops Sandra
