As the season progresses, Laddie (LM12) continues to make occasional visits to the empty webcam nest, defending his area from passing intruders. It is hoped that both he and NC0 have a successful nest in the vicinity of the Loch.

Updates:
21st July - NC0 made an appearance on the nest, her first visit since 19th April
24th July - NC0, confirmed ring identification during a second visit to the nest
10th August - Laddie's last appearance on the webcam nest > Here and Video by Scylla
20th August - One chick for Laddie (LM12) and NC0 > successful-first-season-for-loch-of-the-lowes-ospreys
6th September - Probable migration date for Laddie (LM12) and the juvenile was Saturday, 29th August >

Approx. 14:51, an Osprey was calling, flew towards the dead tree and then beyond
14:59 Now, possibly, on sitting in the dead tree (lots of pixelation)

Around 15:32, after giving a couple of calls, it left the dead tree and flew past the nest
21 August
The first arriver on the dead tree was a Raven, which had announced itself with calls.
"Tough work with no timeline!" - You said it, MICHAEL
And it's very hard to make out here, too!
White-outs, some of the time - this was after 07:30, I'd say:
And the wind came up and ruffled the water, just a random example:
The first osprey I found sat at the top of the tree for a very long time. The upping of the volume has worked very badly for the osprey voices, and because of a skill shortage I can't do any better in this instance.
Where the osprey flies towards us at the end, there a splash (IMHO) - I watched the uncropped version and couldn't see the osprey come back into view.
Hodge-podge!

I think my crop didn't allow us to see it fly further into the "cove"? Never mind, sez me hopefully ;)
Absolutely 'never mind', Scylla, we have 'photographic' evidence to show that it flew further into the 'cove' (must use that description next time! lol)
Thanks, as always
scylla said:youtu.be/.../quote] well captured scylla. Certainly sounds like chick calls and flaps about on the tree like a chick learning to balance.

I snapped "a series of" lights across the Loch - well I've just realise that vehicles drive along there, I've just never noticed before, duh!
I didn't find anything more before nightcam.
From scroll back, around 14:35...spot the Raven! It didn't stay long
Flight away, to the right
The Loch is looking quiet and peaceful this morning. These two screenshots were taken just minutes apart. I seen no action when scrolling back.
