Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

21.43, another feed taking place. It started at 21.37 and Aila swallows the tail at 21.47. She finds another tail and it goes down at 21.48. The worrying thing for Louis is that even after all those fish, I don't think there are any lying on the nest, so it will need to be same again tomorrow if the weather permits. Ian
Fab reporting today everyone - Louis has outdone himself, much respect to him bringing in 9 fish, how wonderful

Good Morning All
Thank you Geemeff for details of all the records broken yesterday.
Louis must be having a long lie this morning, as I didn't see him on scrollback.
Aila had an early yoga class
Lovely wing spread from Aila
Geemeff "Most fish, 9 Shortest time between fish deliveries, 19 mins 34 sec, previous 36min 02secs." I know these records are for 2020 but I think there was one turnaround time in 2017 of less than 15 minutes. At the time I think there was some chat (possibly with George & Liz) about the minimum distance Louis could travel from nest to loch and back to get a fish. I also seem to recall (again in 2017) that he came in once with three fish from one hunt, two were in one foot and one in the other. Now comes the disclaimer! I am relying on my memory here, once on this thread in either 2018 or 2019 I was adamant about something until either Trying or Starling (I can't even remember who) was able to produce a post from the previous year that showed I was talking nonsense. My memory is therefore definitely not always accurate. Ian
I have the same problem Ian! But luckily can look back at my video clips - this year's date & time stamp is so much appreciated, the nightmare of trying to work out times going backwards and forwards on the six hour scrollback is no more. Louis is doing well this season, 204 fish delivered to the nest as of last night. I do enjoy these stats, but as a cricket fan, I suppose I would..
It's a wet morning
