Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

Wonderful pics, Scylla - especially love the passport photo booth series!!
Louis surprised us with fish 3 at 21.53, a tiny tiddler which disappeared in no time. I couldn't get a decent pic, maybe you can get one of your lovely art shots.

I can't spend time getting both Louis and the fish unblurred, so Louis had to suffer ;) If you are disappointed with this effort, please do not tell me unless you want fluds o' tears
I'm whizzing thru the night...
...but don't think I'm in danger of missing an owl on a night like this - rain-rain-rain, but it eased off for a while before 02:00. I think this was Aila's first break and I ws expecting a dramatic shower as she flew, but nothing, almost :(
She didn't eve have a good flap on her return :-/
Later she nodded off - the little white thing under her nose got turfed out from under when a chick was fidgeting earlier:
04:32 Two flyabouts in quick succession - this is her return from the first one - you can see she's sodden, maybe she thought she should try to fly off more water:
Then a chick-feed @ 04:36:
She's calling and calling now, not enough fish for breakfast?

I was hoping to be able to see Louis with fish in tree, but no:
That's me done for a while. I've deleted all the files so it'll be up to the rollback experts if I've missed something significant ;)
Morning Scylla
Thank you for your usual spectacular summaries of the day!

I have been having internet connection problems for over two weeks now, and have to keep resetting the hub, its got to the stage where it is dropping out every few minutes now, so if I disappear for a while you will know why.
I tried to post this shot of Aila trying to cover the chicks, when it went into a down period.
Scylla - "I was hoping to be able to see Louis with fish in tree, but no:" I think the "fish perch" is behind the camera and that Louis doesn't often take a fish to the perch we can see. It is a fantastic picture nonetheless, very atmospheric. 07.40, a nice whole fish from Louis. The chicks looked like they have grown overnight, they are certainly progressing very well. They haven't left Louis much fish, he will need to go for another. Ian
So far so good, no internet drop outs for 10 mins
Fish delivery as per Ian's report above.
