Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

20.34, another feed is taking place. Aila has one fish and four other fish are visible on the nest. I would say that four of the fish are still at least three quarters whole & the fifth one has about a quarter left. Ian
Another feed for the bobs, only short but they all ate.
There are so many fish round the nest that Aila is having difficulty walking round the nest without slipping onto the bobs.

I've been covering some poor baby House Finches being attacked by an Acorn Woodpecker, stab-stab-stab, 3 out of 5 perished :'( ... ... ... so far
It's hard to be an impartial watcher, it's so raw out there. But if it were Woodpecker cam, you'd probably be cheering..
I hope you don't think that, Geemeff. However, when I'm seeing Great Horned Owls being wicked I can't help but remember how lovable they are when their nest is on cam.

Oh! just realised how that looks. No, definitely not cheering the demise of the finches, but imagining the woodpecker arriving home bringing a good meal.
A test post in the "slow first of month" thread was v-e-r-y s-l-o-w.
Aila has glistened thru the rainy night, with big and little fish portions beside her:
System is very slow again this morning, it has taken me almost 20 minutes to get to the opening RF box. So typing post at 05.48 am....
It looks very wet this morning, I have scrolled back and cannot see any feeds so far this morning, Aila keeping the chicks warm and dry.
Louis must have known what the weather was going to be like today - and stocked up on the fish. Last night there were 5 fish on the nest at one time.

Looks like its going to be showery all day today, below is weather forecast for today and one for the week. Then again we know how inaccurate weather forecasts can be, seeing ours last two days we were supposed to be under swathes of rain, when in fact all we have had is 3 short showers. Ah well!
