The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

10:11hr - perched for 5+ minutes - appeared to shout on leaving but no sound came thru - in fact the first snap was frozen for 4 seconds and it kept doing that all the way thru :(

It's been a wet 'n windy night and day, only corvids seen and the cam's had some outages. This morning it had, or was given, a convulsion, during which we got a nice long view, just for a moment:

Day after day, only the corvids show up and I ignore them, so today here's one (a Crow? ) pottering in the rain:
Well, little corvid was enjoying its potter - practising its nest building for next spring.Very attractive bird too. Thanks Scylla

A vehicle seemed to be shifting something but I couldn't see what. Maybe it's mowing down shrubbery with its rear end? Eventually it departed very slowly down the lane, right to left.
