Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Scylla. 0622 this morning, Coal Tit followed by selection of Stonechats.
The quote wouldn't work even tho I did a straight quote of the whole post, so had to do a table.
I don't think I would have picked them up, Richard - thank you! Here's an FF video as they wouldn't show up well in snaps.
09:50 a truck-and-trailer seemed to offload a ladder or long flat object and someone did something and it drove it back the way it came. I don't think it was fly-tipping
BTW - I decided to continue this thread into July because it still has far fewer pages than some of the monthly threads
Nightjar - in and out a lot between 00:23 and 01:59, with 2 long vocalising sessions but not a lot of variety. Nearly 10 minutes long. I haven't treated the dang sound, I forgot !!!
This is the time for it to come back again.

G'night folks!
The translocation is confirmed as going ahead this year.
Fantastic news!
Kind regards, Ann
Great news re the translocation, thank you ALISON :)
NIGHTJAR
Just because we're being forced to follow one on the PH nest, here's one in Korea (South, I presume) which has been filmed by a YouTuber I'm subscribed to.
It's a GREY NIGHTJAR and doesn't sound the same as ours but I'm sure it must look almost the same - and you'll get a look at a lively chick!
Stonechat couple?
I can't get any definition in these evening shots:
Two Nightjars have been on 'n off the perch since just after 23:00 and one is on there now (well it was when I typed that ages ago!) - I'm never gonna get a video finished! Here's a snap to keep you going ;)
Another 10-minuter! But some mating attempts included to pique your interest ;) However, I made a mistake adding on the last clips and forgot the fade transitions But I did remember to improve the sound a bit, you can't have everything (not where I'm concerned, anyway )
