Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Yes, I've just caught up with it - it happened about 13:26, with CJ's left foot doing the damage.
Poor snaps, sorry:
Somewhere between my systems and CJ's nest (all cams, actually) things have gone astray, but here's what I have since yesterday afternoon.
Evening - she had a nice preen and posed here for quite a while:
Oops, I've rebooted so it looks as tho I may have to work on the snap sizes again... hang on, this is just a test.
Someone asked about getting one of these a day or two ago - well I got THREE ;)
Yesterday continued...
She flew from the perch @ 20:01:
The first cambump (that I noticed) was 05:32, when CJ landed with chips. At 05:48 she flew off with some of a fish - good to see that she's looking after herself :-*
There may have been toenails heard @ 07:30 but that's debatable.
09:24 she landed, chipping, on the campost.
09:52 she flew off, only a tiny glimpse of wingtip seen on the left edge of our picture.
That's up to 10:54 and I don't think she's been back.

Migrant Osprey caught a fish in the Wareham Channel this AM at c12:30pm
(Interestingly there was another sighting at Blandford Forum at 11.30 (one flew over Lower Bryanston) .)
It must have been a passing migrant, as CJ7 returned to the nest at 12.26 with a lovely chirrup
It was quite breezy up on the nest. CJ7 opened her wings occasionally
Before flying off at 13.27
She hasn't been back

CJ didn't turn up until lunchtime, when she was greeted by a corvid:
She flew off...
... but soon returned - with chirps that were pretty much drowned by the wind:
She stood there for 2 hours, then flew in an unknown direction. That covers up to 20:20, by which time she had not been back.
