Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Two Stock Doves flew by but only one visited the nest - in fact, it flew up onto the campost by the sound of it and flew down again, but I omitted that because nothing new arose ;)

Sorry, I'm going to be late with the Buzzard, gotta be elsewhere for quite a while.
Beautiful Buzzard at last. It got buzzed twice - the second time was "worse", it took out its frustration on a stick. Some little birds flew across behind it - a sign of spring?

Indeed, and splendidly captured in vid and stills. Looks like you have got your skills and abilities tweaked and primed for what we can hope will be exciting times just around the corner in a few weeks...both here and any other osprey nest site you choose to set your focus on..Can't wait

Birdies LG DU update.
Just corvids on 'n off all day, especially in the morning. Come afternoon the perked-up grass clump actually registered on me! This crow was on its way up to the campost, left wing out of shot:
